DIRECTOR’S NOTE

Ally and Owen were married on January 9, 2015.

Owen did not sing at their wedding.

Ally did sing “O-wen, it’s your wedding day” to Owen on the morning of their wedding (ala the opening number).

Owen auditioned for a production of The Wedding Singer a few years later and tried to charm the casting director with this anecdote. They were not charmed. He did not book.

He did book the role a few years later as his first Equity principal role (and met the  show’s composer, Matthew Sklar, who attended a performance!).

Fast forward a bit and Ally and Owen have now been married 10 years, calling Farmers Branch and The Firehouse home for the past five.

They thank you for supporting live theatre.

-Owen & Ally Beans, Co-Directors

She has also almost been seen in many national tours, cruise line shows, and on Broadway, but so far she hasn’t booked (so her grandmother can stop asking how her career is going). Outside of theater, she works for Concord Theatricals in the marketing department and thinks everyone should keep producing Rodgers & Hammerstein shows so she can keep her job. Thank you to Owen, Ally, Jason and Hannah for keeping her somewhat sane throughout the process and the cast for being able to read her mind when she doesn’t communicate well (especially her Dance Captain, Aaliyah, who she thinks everyone should say thank you to, including her).  @kelseyjoward for whichever casting director wants to give me a contract first.
