Here at The Firehouse, education has always been a top priority. We’re officially unveiling The Firehouse Theatre University, an expanded education initiative for all ages, led by our Provost, Broadway’s Ashley Kate Adams and Ally Beans, Casting Director and Partner with Eisenberg/Beans Casting.

ASHLEY KATE ADAMS is an award-winning Actress, Producer, Best-Selling Author & Educator who made her Broadway Debut at the age of 23 in Tony Award Winning Revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. Ashley hails from Louisville, Kentucky. With 20 years of teaching experience, she has been an integral part of multiple studios & classrooms across the US. Notable education experiences include active 8 years on staff as the Main Stage Director & Choreographer, New Works Director & Instructor at the award-winning A Class Act NY based in NYC, 7 years as a visiting teacher & Choir Consultant for Andover High (Boston, Massachusetts) Director of Rock of Ages at Hits Theatre (Houston), and guest speaker & teacher at Classic Melodies (Louisville), Youth Performing Arts High School, Kentucky’s Governor’s School for the Arts & at her Alma Mater of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Her Creative Consulting brand, #BYOP: Be Your Own Producer, is rapidly growing in New York, LA, Louisville, Cincinnati, Dallas & Houston focused on nurturing artists & their authentic creativity & efficiency. ALLY BEANS is a bi-coastal Casting Director and Partner with Eisenberg/Beans Casting. Theatre credits include Gettin’ The Band Back Together on Broadway, Sweet Charity starring Sutton Foster (Artios nomination), as well as projects for Dallas Theater Center, Folger Theatre, Bedlam, Wheelhouse Theatre Company, The New Group, WaterTower Theatre, Cherry Lane’s Mentor Project, and more. TV/Film credits include Who We Are Now, The MisEducation of Bindu, A Case of Blue, Lapham Rising, Hands That Bind, Kendra and Beth, Hungry Dog Blues, Homeland (Showtime), Timberwood, and User Zero. Podcasts: Both seasons of the critically-acclaimed series Limetown (Apple) and City of Ghosts. As a producer, Ally works primarily in feature film and has 2 titles expected to premiere in 2021. Her work in casting garnered her a Heller Award nomination by the Talent Managers Association in 2019 and this spring, she has been nominated for an Artios Award for SHADOWS (HBO) by Ria Tobaccowala, starring Selenis Leyva.
